I love lip balm and love this recipe. I have purchased a natural lip balm for years and figured it would be smart to start making my own. I use it often, as it’s incredibly dry in my house and so I go through tubes of it like nobody’s business. My daughter has an affection for it as well, so, it doesn’t have a long life span in my house. Making our own is the most cost-effective for us.
Another awesome way to utilize DIY lip balm is to use it as an advertising tool. Many people use them and when they pull it out they will be reminded of your logo and business. Subliminally this keeps you in the back of their minds which is a great for you.
So, I thought I would share my fave DIY recipe for Vanilla Lavender lip balm!
What You Will Need:
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- 1 tbsp shea butter
- 1 tbsp beeswax
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 10-20 drops of lavender essential oil
Combine all but the essential oil in a microwave safe bowl and heat in increments of 30 seconds until melted. Stir in the lavender essential oil and pour into your choice of sanitized container (You can use lip balm tubes or jars).
Keep them uncovered until fully cooled.
These are a great item to pass along to potential customers or those showing interest in your business.
Make mini packs with a lip balm, lip balm recipe, business card, and current coupon code or promo and these are perfect to share!
